The Word Was Made Flesh – John 1:14
The landscape frozen white, the earth in stillness holds its breath, waiting for God’s footprints.
The word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory). John 1:14
It must have been a shock to his system when Jesus came to earth as a newborn baby. It is enough of a shock for any infant. But what would it have felt like to go from being an all-powerful, all-knowing being that needed no one, to become a needy infant born into a poor family with an animal’s feeding trough for a bed?
Jesus Christ came willingly into our world so we could have hope and a future. Is it more of a shock that God became flesh or that the Lord of all would do that just for us?
