My Times are in thy Hands | Psalm 31:14-15
But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand. Psalm 31:14-14 (KJV)
When you hear the news of the world, do you want to wring your hands, go find some sackcloth and ashes and begin the mourning process? Whenever we hear about tragedies, violence and political wrangling, it can be tempting to fall into despair.
As we enter a new year, let us remember God is still the Lord of the universe. Satan may continue his mischief. He may wage his battles, but it is Lord who has won the war. We can take solace in knowing Jesus’ sacrifice has made and will make all things right.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Revelation 21:3-5 (KJV)
He is our God. Our times are in his hands.
