In God’s Garden

He will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. Isaiah 2:3

One of the most memorable hymns of our time speaks of finding joy in the Lord’s presence, walking with Him in the garden after His resurrection. Our highly stressful world sometimes tempts us to squeeze out time with the Master, replacing real communication with a few rituals that only make us feel pressured and do nothing to bring real peace. God wants to walk with us in His private “garden,” to fellowship with us. He wants to hear our secrets, know our dreams and heal our hurts. Many of us struggle with being fearful of getting that close to Him. Take the risk. Draw closer. Among the flowers of God’s love for us is where we truly find that perfect love casteth out fear (1 John 4:18).
