“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Ah, Solitude!

Like the warmth of the sun’s rays on a quiet body of water, so is God’s peace on us in our times of quiet stillness with Him. The rough and tumble of a busy, competitive world fades as we gaze upon God’s holiness and enjoy His presence. What would we do without this time to reenergize? Maybe you are already trying to do without it. Do you have the symptoms of a life without peace? Nervousness? Anxiety? Uncontrollable emotions? Accept God’s invitation: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28, NIV). Embrace God in those moments of intimacy. Gain strength you need. Be filled with the peace and joy God so wants to give to the children He loves.
